Tacoma, Washington
The Douglas Fir Plywood Association, often abbreviated as DFPA, promoted the use of Douglas-fir plywood in boat construction. In 1957, they offered over 40 boat plans at the low cost of $0.25 per plan. Many of their designs were by David Beach, a naval architect based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
