The book "Tail Fins and Two-Tones" lists a Fiberglass Boat Co., Inc. of Waverly, NE in 1957, later changed to FibraGlass Boat Co., Inc. of Waverly, NE in 1958, and finally Fibra Glass Boat Co., Inc of Hot Springs, AR in 1959. A 1959 newspaper article indicates the Fibra-Glass Boat Co. of Arkansas began operations on in Hot Springs, AR on April 30 of 1959. This company is noted as a subsidiary of the Guardian Boat Co. of Waverly, NE.
One Guardian boat, believed to be a 1957 model, has been found with a tag indicating place of manufacture to be Arkadelphia, AR. Obviously the history of Guardian Boats is unclear and further research is needed. More information will be added as it becomes available.
