Brennan Imp Sterndrive
Brennan Motor Mfg. Co.
505 E. Water St.
Syracuse, New York
In 1961, Brennan Motor Manufacturing Company offered the "Imp", a complete sterndrive package with a 35-hp 4-cylinder engine weighing only 200 lbs. The outdrive was also sold separately for pairing with other motors (Jan 1961 MotorBoating). Other four and six-cylinder marine engines were offered, the "Fisherman Four" and "DeLuxe Six" series of motors. By 1966, the "Imp" was available in 40 HP (November 1966 MotorBoating).
