The original design of this beast was steel. We've put it here because following its 1957 debut, the 1958 was made of fiberglass. (probably because the steel one sank... or was mistaken for a missile of some sort and blown up... imagine that.)
We often wonder how much they paid these people to sit in this contraption for the photos... knowing full-well they were gonna die.
Only one example of the Eshelman Rocket (steel model) is known to exist today. If you know of other existing Eshleman Boats, please contact us.
