Being one of the early fiberglass boating companies, Beetle boat company built boats and they were sold at quite the price. The new "plastic" (fiberglass resins) boats were quite expensive.
Palmer Scott & Co. later merged with Beetle Boats to form the American Boat Building Corp. and finally with O'Day and Associates. More information is available at the Dolphin 24 sailboat website: http://www.dolphin24.org/history_Palmer_Scott.html
