Sea Star Fiberglass Boats
Minerva, Ohio
The exact history of this brand of boats is uncertain, but it is likely that manufacture of Sea Star boats moved from Minerva, Ohio to Monmouth, Illinois. Ohio Marine may have been the original manufacturer in Ohio; around 1968 or so, Glastex Co. appears to have begun manufacturing Sea Star Boats in Illinois. This may have been due to the purchase of Ohio Marine by Glastex Co. which replaced Glastex's line of Sea Sprite Boats with the Sea Star models.
