Title: Toronto Chapter 38th Annual Summer Vintage Boat Show

Message Details
For this year’s show, a unique theme has been selected, “Keeping the Passion Alive – A salute to the Heritage Boat Shops.”  All of us are passionate about our boats, be they mahogany, cedar strip or fibreglass. Restoring and maintaining an antique or classic or building a new reproduction requires knowledge, skills and time that the vast majority of us do not have. It is the boat shops, old and new, that keep our sport alive and our boats on the water.  So, it is fitting that we take this opportunity to honor these individuals and businesses.
Boat builders and restorers are being invited to showcase some of their past projects that demonstrate the quality of their work and commitment to excellence. These will be highlighted as the featured boats in the show.
Once again, the show will have free admission to the public and all displays will be along the waterfront. 2018 will also be a judged show, which always ensures an excellent turnout of some of the finest examples of antique and classic boats.
To broaden the appeal of the show, and classic boats in general, the show committee is working hard to grow the participation of fibreglass classics with a focus on ski boats of all makes.  All of the other attractions that make the show a fun day for the family will be back: the ride-along, the kids’ activities, antique and classic car show, the field of dreams and flea market and a growing number of vendors.
The show will kick off with three days of pre-show events that are a great way to enjoy an extended stay in Muskoka, spending more time on the water with new and old friends. Wednesday, July 4th we will be trailering to tour the chain of lakes in Huntsville, with a lunch stop in town. Thursday, participants will cruise from Gravenhurst to Bala and area on Lake Muskoka. Stops will include a boathouse tour and lunch. Friday the 6th is Poker Run Day, always a fun excursion.
See you in Gravenhurst this July!
