From the picture, that's a 1960-1963 MFG Corry Carefree, with fiberglass deck. First year was 1958, and was available either as a totally open boat or with a mahogany deck from 1958-1960. Really nice little boat.

My dad had a 1960 Corry Carefree with an 18hp Evinrude that he later upgraded to a 28hp Johnson. It's rated for 30 hp so it would fly with your 40hp.

Dave Nau - 1966 MFG Niagara with 1963 Mercury 350 (35hp) outboard and 1966 Tee Nee trailer. Second boat is a 1962 MFG Edinboro with a 1984 Evinrude 70hp and Holsclaw trailer.

I suspect it has the same hull as the Corry Suburban only stretched. I just got rid of mine. It was far from original but was one hell of a fishing boat.
