Hello!
I am new to the forum, and I look forward to the knowledge I will gain from this group. I recently purchased my 1st boat! A 1974 MFG 15' Gypsy Super Fisher with the original 40hp Merc. I an looking at a HUGE learning curve as I'm already having engine "issues". Would those issues be handled in this forum or is there a place that would be preferred?

Welcome and yes, there is a forum for Merc's. Just scroll down the Home page and you'll find it. There's also forum's for every other question you may have. Complete resto's from top to bottom are in the Member's Project's forum and most have pictures. Marineengines.com has diagrams for your motor and other's will steer you to parts near you. You came to the right place.
