TOPIC: 1960 Cutter... possible prototype for '61 Tornado?

1960 Cutter... possible prototype for '61 Tornado? 4 years 9 months ago #140262

What was originally purchased as a means-to-an-end donor boat for my 1960 Cutter Jet DeVille, has now been added to our fleet as is. An incredibly cared for and unmolested, 1 family boat is too nice to gut for another boat.

Some interesting things about this boat... It's registered as a 1958, but the hull ID decodes as a Jan 1960 build model 150.

The Hull itself looks as if it was pulled from being used for a Cuddy Cabin, and retrofitted with Jump Seats.

She is headed to my favorite marine Dealer ( and back-in-the-day a Mccolloch Scott dealership) to have the Flying Scott gone over. Then to our local canvas guy for a new top.

I really hope to have it out for next seasons Fiberglassic gatherings here in Wisconsin.

That is a keeper for sure. Can't wait to see it up close.

That's real nice. I had the same boat, tan deck, in 1973 with a '65 Johnson 75 on it. It had the same seats. It was a great ski boat for my 19 year old self!
