TOPIC: lights- boat with fins

lights- boat with fins 5 years 9 months ago #136923

I'm about to put lights on a 1959 Delaney (basically a small Powercat copy) with fins, and wanted to see how people with classics were handling all that. Where have oyu guys mounted lights, and what kind?
I'm not really striving for perfect period correct restoration (that's a 2004 Suzuki on there right now) but don't want to totaly butcher the look with something from WalMart either.

Here's the boat in question:

bow light is easy. find one of similar vintage on ebay etc. Stern light is potentially harder as i don't see a flat in the back on your boat. I have fins but a nice flat on the splashwell that was the location for the hardware. i don't worry about the vintage of the light itself cause it is only on after dark.

Check out ebay, search boat bow lights and you'll see hundreds. The newer LED lights are really neat. Some of the new designs can just be mounted anywhere.

Other option ? I have seen some stern lights mounted on top of the outboard motor before.
