The annual Geneva Lakes Boat show presented by the Blackhawk Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society is this coming weekend at the Abby Resort docks in Fontana, Wisconsin. Land and water. Some members will be exhibiting, one of the nicest shows in the area. www.genevalakesboatshow.com/Entries Here's a link to some of the entries. There's always a nice Fiberglassic representation!

All that work and hardware store mailbox letters for the hull? Tsk tsk..

Hello Mary,

We will be in Fontana this week end and hope to see you and Bill up there.

Mary and I had a good time in Racine at the ACBS event last week and Mama Mia! had great results.

She won Platinum in the outboard restored category and then took Best of Show-non-wood.

If you can make it be sure to stop by and say Hey and I'll be sure to have a cooler full of cold brews on board.

Thanks,
Terry

Congratulations, Terry! That boat sure is a beauty. I need to put some of these southeastern Wisconsin shows on the calendar for next year. Have fun all this coming weekend at the Geneva show.

Thanks Dr. Go

We had a steamy hot weekend on Geneva Lake and Mama Mia! was on fire. She had another big win there and was honored with Best Non-wood.

Hope to see you at Kosh come Spring.

Congratulations again, Terry! Well deserved. I do plan on attending Kosh in the spring. Should be even more fun now that I have new reverse gear and ca back up when needed. Good health to all until we meet up again in spring.

Congratulations Terry. July weather in Sept. Glad to see that you got out for another show. Now cool days and colder nights starting to signal the end of another boating season. Good time to plan on a fall color cruise before putting her to sleep.
More trophy's to put in your collection for Mama Mia. Hope next year will bring better weather in May so we can get together at Kosh. Like Mark, (Dr. Go) I'm hoping to get the dates on my calendar for more in-state shows.

Boy that brings back memories. What I really don't see at some of these meets are the old flat bottom home built wooden row boats that resorts back in the 40's and 50's used to rent out for fishing. Old coffee can/cement anchors....you know the kind.

That is a great picture! Possibly a Grandpa and grandson. That brings back memories and so does Cal’s comment about coffee can anchors with cement. I had forgotten about those. What a flood of memories generated by the last 2 posts. I still have my Dad’s ‘55 Rude 15 and ‘56 Starcraft. 5 generations of boating in that rig. Learned to waterski behind it. It was little boats like this that got me hooked for life...connects me to family and memories of long ago. Thanks for this thread of pictures Terry! Maybe I should bring out the old tin to a show somewhere and bring some fishing gear to match?

Dr. Go!,
Thanks and you nailed it. That's my buddy Paul with his grandson Myles navigating.

The Boat is a Sears with a Sears 3hp which were built by Elgin. Paul is an AOMC motorheads member and hosts an annual event in Elburn IL.

See:
www.motorheadsil.com/
Check the schedule and come on down sometime.

63 Sabre,

Mama Mia! came equipped with one of the coffee can anchors. I found it jammed up all the way forward in the chain locker. I think maybe the idea was to keep the bow down when she was coming outta the hole.

Yeah love the tin.

This one of the my favorites that showed up outa nowhere. Came all the way from NY a few years ago for the MWC
in Beloit WI.

Thanks,
Terry
