Here is my 1955 Larson Crestliner that was given to me in 2000 just before the owner moved and was gong to sell it for scrap. I have had it in the water many times but not in about eight years. It originally just had an aluminum fore deck and evidence of a steering wheel. I've run it with 18 and 25 Johnsons and Evinrudes. I will put the 18 on this time.

IIRC Larson/Crestliner didnt merge until much later then the 50s, so its probably a Larson OR a Crestliner if its a 1955. I dont think they'd merged yet in 1964 +/- when my open fishing aluminum boat Larson was made. Look forward to a pix (or 5).... |

Here is what started as a 1955 Commodore. It has the original aluminum fore deck under the wood. Will put an 18 '57 Johnson on her.

Larson and Crestliner never really merged, more like they split. Crestliner was originally called Larson Watercraft, but because the local, Little Falls post office kept getting the mail mixed up between Larson Boat Works, and Larson Watercraft, the name was changed to Crestliner.

The original cast aluminum corner pieces say Larson little fall but the boat had the traditional Crestliner logo on the sides near the transome.

If you are looking to replace the original logo's for your boat, I can supply. I have a mould for the logo and cast them in onyx epoxy resin.
