After much consternation I have retired my 1958 Cruisers, Inc. I did a detailed survey this fall and found the boat had serious rot problems. Most of the ribs at the keelson were shot. Fir plywood in many sections was soft and punky. Interior of the stem had an ice pick driven through it from top to bottom. The boat still had a beautiful shape, but was unsafe at at speed (any one remember that one?!). I thought about repairing it, but the boat no longer has the draw for me it use to have. I tried to give it away to no avail. So I have removed all the hardware from it and trailered it up the road where it will become a playground for 3 little boys on our road. Hopefully it will foster a new generation of boaters. The upside of this message is that I have a pair of metal Cruisers, Inc. (Oconto, Wis) side plates available. I also have original cleats, chocks, etc. that were removed from the boat. Have the original bow light and lifting ring (which I'm keeping). If anyone needs something, let me know. The insignias are in good shape. Can take a photo if interested.

Sad about the boat, but I can understand.

Remember that the 1958 chromed metal logos are different than ones from the 1960s. 1960 was the year that Cruisers, Inc. changed to a new logo. So, your logos should be appropriate for 1950s boats.

Kelly&Sandi good luck with whatever you choose to do. Please make sure to continue to post a link to the Classic Glastron forum (http://www.classicglastron.com/phpbb/index.php) on your site somewhere, should these forums be permanently archived. I know for sure a lot of people find that site, through this site.
